How to use the databases?

The databases provided by the Library provide access to specialised scientific, bibliographical and archival information. Depending on the type of database, access to the resources may be open or require additional rights. Below you will find information on how to use the different types of databases and what conditions apply to users.

Public bases

Public databases are available free of charge to all users. They do not require a login or special rights.

How to use:

  • Select the base you are interested in from the list of available resources
  • Go to the base using the button or link
  • Use search by keyword, author or subject area
  • Review and use data in accordance with current citation rules

Restricted access bases

Access to restricted databases is intended for authorised users, in particular staff of the institution, students and those using the Library's resources on site or in its branches.

How to access:

  • Log in to the library system (if required)
  • Check if the database is accessible remotely or only on the Library premises
  • If in doubt, contact a librarian
