Directorate of the Central Medical Library

The Central Medical Library shall be managed by a single person, its Director, who is appointed and dismissed by the Minister of Health. The Director is responsible for the implementation of the statutory tasks of the GBL, while respecting the other regulations on which the GBL's activities are based. The Director manages the Library with the assistance of the Deputy Director for Organisational Affairs.

Deputy Director for Organisational Affairs Supports the work of the Director of GBL in developing the Library in Warsaw as well as throughout Poland, in disseminating information about the Library and raising its profile. He supervises the work of the Administration Department, the Technical Department, IT and Printing Services and the GBL's field branches. He is responsible for organising and coordinating the work of the Old Medical Book Department, the Reader Service Department, the Book Collection Building Department and the Medical Information Centre.
